Home visits are at the discretion of the GP. They can be requested for those patients who are unable to attend the surgery because of serious illness or infirmity. Children and babies can be brought to the surgery even when ill and will be invited in quickly if necessary. Please use the service thoughtfully and ring before 10.30am if possible to request a visit.
Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to determine the priority and nature of the visit.
Please note you may be referred to Paramedics working on behalf of the PCN or the Paramedic Home Visiting Service, operated by Medway Practices Alliance.
